Thank You
Climb Aboard... The Wagon Train Of Thank-yous!
By Beth Stahmer
Desert Springs Equine Sanctuary Center (DSESC) would like to thank the
following volunteers and organizations for supporting us in our
efforts to provide a comfortable, loving, and safe home for our
rescued equines:
A big thank you to volunteer Jo DiRosa and the Home Depot located at First Avenue and Oracle Road in Oro Valley! A few months ago Jo noticed that another volunteer, Christine, was wearing a Home Depot apron which allowed her to hold grooming supplies while keeping her relatively clean. Christine mentioned that Home Depot gave them out to people who asked for them, so that very afternoon Jo went to Home Depot with a very special request. She told the store that she was a volunteer with Desert Springs Equine Sanctuary Center and felt that the aprons would be very useful for the volunteers. Home Depot gave Jo ten aprons which are available to volunteers out at the ranch. Jo said that contacting Home Depot was fun and that she thought aprons would come in handy for our wonderful volunteers. Thank you again Jo for being a great volunteer who is always thinking of others at DSESC!
And, a special note of thanks from Christine M. to Judy Parker:
I'd like to send a special thanks to Judy Parker. She has such compassion for all the horses and is always ready to assist anyone in need of a little help. You don't even have to ask. Whenever she spots a situation where she feels she can offer some advice she's right there. I've seen her turn so many stressful situations into positive outcomes. Judy's combination of patience and horseanality sense has truly changed my life. Thanks, Judy!
