Harley At DSEC Breeding Profile

Harley At DSEC
Desert Springs Equestrian Center DSEC proudly presents Harelquin Middelsom, a 2002 leopard spotted Knabstrupper stallion. Harley was imported from Denmark to our facility in the fall of 2008. He is a testament to this rare breed with his calm and friendly disposition, correct confirmation, and elegant movement.

Harley has an aptitude for the Sport Horse disciplines. In Dressage, he shows off his intelligence and flowing strides, already scoring in the 60's at Training Level. In addition, he is quick, careful, and frequently impresses spectators with his extreme scopiness in the Jumper ring. We have found that his boldness and endurance make him a prime eventing candidate as well.

Currently, Harley is working with our trainer, Cathy Schreiber, and 3 Day Event trainer, Manuela Propfe. Together, Cathy and Manuela are laying a strong foundation for Harley's career providing him with exceptional education and experience in both the Dressage and Jumper rings.

Please contact us to schedule an appointment to see this tractable, kind stallion whose progeny would be a colorful addition to any herd.

Desert Springs Equestrian Center Breeding Profile
Excellent for purebreeding; for his part giving his offspring 100% Knabstrupper blood in 3rd generation.

Passed the stallion test in September 2006 as one out of only two stallions in the history of the KNN graded as both sports and classic type Knabstrupper. DNA-tested and pedigree verified by DNA.

Typical cool Knabstrupper temperament with high self-esteem and magnificent charisma. Super conformation and movement. Dressage prospect. Very talented jumper. Easy to ride.

Of his first foal crop in 2006 all had Knabstrupper color. Two offspring were presented at the foal show and both awarded with first prizes. His purebred (6/8) few spot daughter Havana was reserve sports type champion with the marks 9 9 8 9 9 (exactly the same score as the champion and later BIS winner, a filly by a German Warmblood) at Vilhelmsborg.

Sire qualified at B-level in dressage and has sired offspring that competes at international level in dressage.

Dam rewarded with silver medal for her offspring.

Full brother graded stallion in 2005. Full sister graded as best 3 year old mare and won the mare riding test as 4 year old. Full brother in UK holds a pure breed license for 2006 and 2007.
