Full Time Instructor and Trainer for the Horse and Rider
|
|
Cathy Schreiber welcomes riders of all ages and levels for
lessons. She focuses
on beginning with correct position and aids. She also helps the rider
understand how to communicate with the horse to enhance the
horse-rider partnership.
To assist the learning of new skills, Cathy encourages students to try
different
horses each horse teaches us new aspects of
horsemanship. Please take a look at our horses for
lease to see our
equine teachers who help students develop and improve their
riding. Students are also welcome to trailer in their own horses for
lessons.
Cathy's Background
Cathy started riding seriously when she was 10 years old in upstate,
New York and began teaching lessons when she was 15. As a Junior
rider, she successfully competed in Medal and Maclay, Pony Club,
Eventing and Hunter/Jumpers shows.
After earning a B.A. in Equestrian Science at Lake Erie College and
becoming a British Horse Society Certified Instructor (BHSAI), Cathy
became more serious about Dressage training. She competed on the
Florida/Michigan circuits and attended the Violet Hopkins seminars
where she refined her Dressage knowledge.
